Downtown Harvest Market
Event information
Enjoy downtown in a most sustainable way! The market takes place outside the Stephen P. Clark Center’s Courtyard at 111 NW First St.
The following activities will be taking place:
- A departmental contest in the Government Center building; the department with the most car-free commuters will win a special prize at the market.
- A series of information sessions and lunchtime demonstrations in order to inform the public how to bring sustainability to our urban center.
- Special area offering potted herbs, vegetables, and fruits as well as experts on urban gardening to answer all curiosities and questions (to encourage Downtown employees to make their offices, apartment balconies and back patios more green)
- Musicians joinin in the celebration with a drum circle at lunch time the day of the event.
Note: In an effort to reduce gas emissions, we encourage all Downtown employees/students to walk, bike, take the train, and pick buddies to carpool that Friday.
