More on  Miami Wildlife Conservation Film Festival 2012

The Miami Wildlife Conservation Film Festival takes place at the Cinematheque in Miami Beach from April 20-23. Over 25 documentaries will be screened that include both short and feature films. Most of these films have never been seen before in Miami or the entire state of Florida for that matter. In addition to these superb films, guest speakers will be in attendance that include some of the director’s/producers of the films and representatives from global conservation organizations.

The Wildlife Conservation Film Festivals (WCFF), an organization that presents this specific type of film festival across the country, has produced this film event. The mission of WCFF is to educate and enlighten the public on wildlife conservation issues through the entertainment of film media. WCFF has worked with conservation groups that include; Trust for Wildlife, Conservation International, The Nature Conservancy, PEW Trust for the Environment and US Fish & Wildlife.

Members of the Board of Advisors include: Dr. Sylva Earle, Jon Martin (Conservation International), Fabien Cousteau, Marshal T. Case (Trust for Wildlife) and founder Christopher J. Gervais. The website for the Wildlife Conservation Film Festivals is: www.WCFF.org.
